Samoëns and the Giffre mountains: 600km of marked trails offer a wide variety of outings:
A hiking paradise for discovering mountain flora and spotting chamois, ibex and marmots.
You can choose to hike alone, with a guide or with donkeys.
Day hikes or multi-day tours, such as the Tour des dents blanches in the heart of our massif between Switzerland and France, or the Tour du Mont Blanc.
For children, there are special places to discover the mountains and their animals.  Hiking with donkeys is just the thing for them.

Ideas for walks:

At the Col de Joux Plane, the bourgeoise is a short family hike offering superb panoramic views.
The Cirque du Fer à Cheval, a major national site 12 km away, offers walks and hikes surrounded by 32 waterfalls and cliffs. In the heart of the nature reserve, discover grandiose landscapes and mountain flora and fauna that are easily accessible.Refuge du Folly (2h15): two routes are possible: an easy, wide, shaded forest path or a more aerial cliffside path (equipped with chains in its most delicate part). After tasting the famous lemon tart at the refuge, you can continue to Lac des Chambres (1h15), a glacial lake at 200m.
Refuge de la Golèse (1h30): A variety of flora and fauna accompany you all the way up to the refuge de la Golèse.  Situated in the heart of the alpine pastures, you can then continue the traverse to the Bostan refuge, 45min away, and many turns to neighboring Switzerland.
Le refuge de sales (2h): In the heart of the Sixt fer à cheval nature reserve (GR96), the climb to the refuge is dotted with waterfalls and lush flora. It's not unusual to spot marmots, chamois and ibex. You may even be lucky enough to spot an eagle or bearded vulture.
After the refuge, the Breche du Dérochoir, 1h15 away, offers a panoramic view of Mont Blanc.
